Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

This team member will have primary responsibility for coordinating the inbound/outbound package activities of the in-center parcel management operation. This includes receiving, processing, staging, and delivering all inbound and outbound packages from the venue/center using an electronic last mile tracking system with limited supervision. The team member will regularly interface with all levels inside the venue and event customer's organizations. Proficiency with various computer systems and the physical ability to perform the job functions are required. The role also involves performing functions similar to those of Center Consultant team members.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Coordinate all shipping-related services and activities, including maintaining logs, preparing parcels for pickup, and sorting incoming parcels.
  2. Use proprietary software and equipment to execute job functions; manage mobile equipment as applicable.
  3. Pick-up and deliver customer packages within the hotel facility.
  4. Provide excellent customer service, anticipate needs, suggest alternatives, and resolve issues independently.
  5. Assemble parcels, prepare goods for shipping, and handle packaging materials.
  6. Operate pallet jacks and other large package handling equipment where applicable.
  7. Follow all safety and security guidelines for equipment and packages.
  8. Determine appropriate shipping methods, inform customers about services, routes, and rates.
  9. Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and prioritize customer requests.
  10. Resolve customer service issues, including refunds and mis-labeled packages, using sound judgment.
  11. Troubleshoot routine equipment problems and provide leadership as needed.
  12. Assist in training team members and perform administrative duties like inventory control and supply ordering.
  13. Operate POS terminals, ensure package handling fees are collected, and perform daily close-outs.
  14. Assist with customer orders, provide pricing, and explain digital printing benefits.
  15. Follow copying protocols, prepare bank deposits, and perform other duties as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of six months related experience, preferably in warehouse or hospitality.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication and team-building skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and quick learner of new software.
  • Ability to pass OSHA certification for relevant equipment.
  • Physical ability to lift 75 pounds unassisted and maneuver packages of any weight with assistance or equipment.
  • Stamina to walk up to 10 miles per shift.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Stand during entire shift, excluding breaks.
  • Lift and move up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • Bend and twist at waist and knees repeatedly.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Maintain focus and attention over extended periods.
  • Report to work regularly and support business hours.
