Job Description

Moonshot is seeking an Interim Chief Growth Officer to provide maternity cover for a critical and multi-functional position on its senior leadership team. The role currently integrates leadership responsibilities across Business Development and Global Program Delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in both areas; however, given the unique nature of this maternity cover position, the role may be adapted to align with the successful candidate's strengths. Gaps in experience in certain areas shall not disqualify a candidate who demonstrates significant expertise in other relevant domains.

You will lead Business Development for the organization, working closely with Moonshot's Founders and market leads to drive growth strategy. You will own revenue targets, set and meet ambitious quarterly and annual goals, and optimize sales processes to improve pipeline conversion.

You will oversee Global Program Delivery, managing complex multi-region projects, innovating in program methodologies, and integrating learning into organizational strategy. The role requires aligning business development and program delivery with Moonshot's long-term goals, scaling global impact, and collaborating across departments for cohesion and excellence.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in winning and delivering work within online harms or related sectors, building relationships with government and private sector clients, and managing large teams and complex systems.

Your responsibilities include:

1. Business Development Leadership

• Manage revenue targets and cross-functional teams
• Set goals for customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth
• Develop and refine Business Development strategies
• Oversee systems for lead sourcing, bid development, and reporting

1. Global Program Leadership

• Manage Program Directors and oversee project delivery
• Manage risks and delivery issues
• Develop systems for organizational growth
• Define standards for program design and evaluation

1. Team Leadership

• Lead and motivate the Global Programs and Business Development teams
• Coordinate with HR and finance for staffing and skills development

Requirements include proven experience in leading Business Development or Sales, program strategy, and experience in sectors such as online harms, terrorism, or organized crime. Candidates should have strong stakeholder communication skills, risk management experience, leadership in large teams, adaptability, and willingness to travel. Eligibility to work in the US and passing security clearances are required.

Desirable qualifications include knowledge of government procurement and experience with research deliverables such as open source intelligence tools.
