Job Description

Moonshot is seeking an Interim Chief Growth Officer to provide maternity cover for a critical and multi-functional position on its senior leadership team. The role currently integrates leadership responsibilities across Business Development and Global Program Delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in both areas; however, given the unique nature of this maternity cover position, the role may be adapted to align with the successful candidate's strengths. Gaps in experience in certain areas shall not disqualify a candidate who demonstrates significant expertise in other relevant domains.

You will lead Business Development for the organization, working closely with Moonshot's Founders and market leads, to drive the company's growth strategy. Responsibilities include owning revenue targets, optimizing sales processes, and overseeing pipeline conversion.

You will also oversee Global Program Delivery, managing complex multi-region projects, innovating program methodologies, and integrating learning into organizational strategy. The role requires aligning business development and program delivery with Moonshot's long-term goals, scaling global impact, and collaborating across departments to ensure cohesion and excellence.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in winning and delivering work within online harms or related sectors, building relationships with government and private sector clients, and managing large teams and complex systems.

Your responsibilities encompass:

Business Development Leadership

  • Manage revenue targets and cross-functional teams to meet quarterly and annual goals
  • Set measurable goals for customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth
  • Develop and refine Business Development strategies in coordination with relevant Directors and the Board
  • Oversee systems related to lead sourcing, bid development, and data reporting

Global Program Leadership

  • Manage Program Directors and oversee program delivery quality
  • Manage risks and key delivery issues
  • Develop new projects ensuring client satisfaction and impact
  • Establish systems and processes aligned with organizational growth
  • Define standards for program design, delivery, and evaluation based on ethics, evidence, and impact

Team Leadership

  • Lead Global Programs and Business Development teams to ensure motivation and effectiveness
  • Work with HR and Finance to ensure staffing and skill needs are met

Requirements include proven leadership in Business Development or Sales, experience in program strategy and delivery, and expertise in sectors such as corporate security, government, law enforcement, online harms, terrorism, or organized crime. Candidates should have experience engaging senior stakeholders, managing risks in global programs, leading large teams, and working under pressure. Willingness to travel and eligibility to work in the US are required.

Desirable qualifications include knowledge of government procurement, experience with research deliverables, open source intelligence, and behavior change analysis.
